Multicultural Services Mission Statement

Missouri State University's Multicultural Services is the unit in the Division of Student Affairs that exists to foster and support the intellectual, social, and cultural development of all students, especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds. Together, these programs and offices promote and celebrate diversity by creating a cultural agenda for the university community, and in doing so, help retain and encourage our diverse students as they matriculate. By providing academic and cultural programming and services that are relevant to the experiences of all of our students with an emphasis on diverse student populations, we assist students in thriving and connecting with their peers, mentors, faculty, and staff here at Missouri State University.

Offices within Multicultural Services include Multicultural Programs; the Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) on the first floor of the Plaster Student Union; the LGBTQ+ Resource Center; the Access Academic & Scholarship Programs of Kauffman, KIPP St. Louis, 100 Black Men, Wyman, and College Bound; the Department of Education-TRIO Programs of Upward Bound and Student Support Services located on the first floor of Meyer Library and the Disability Resource Center located on the first floor of Meyer Library.
