Hosted for the first time in May 2017, the Multicultural Services Graduation Reception brings together student leaders, their families, staff, and faculty together to honor and celebrate the achievements of students who have had an impact on Missouri State University and the unit of Multicultural Services. Through their involvment in planning committees for the different Identity Months to particpating in one of Access Programs to serving as a TRIO Peer Mentor, these honorees have given time, energy, and thought into making Missouri State University a more welcoming and just community.
Students honored at the graduation reception will receive a kente cloth stole. These stoles represents their commitment to diversity, education, and community at Missouri State University and beyond.
Multicultural Services will be hosting a Graduation Reception at the end of each semester. More details for the December 2017 Graduation Reception will be made available in the Fall semester.
