The Belong-B-Q is Multicultural Services major event during Welcome Weekend. A combination cookout, information fair and performance, the Belong-B-Q showcases the wide range of diverse student groups and resources here at Missouri State University.

The Diversity Fund provides financial support to individuals, groups or student organizations who are aiming to promote diversity and inclusion at Missouri State University. Funding can be allocated for programs, conference travel or other initiatives students can use to make MSU a more just community.

Held every December and May, these receptions honor graduates who have had a lasting impact on Multicultural Services, our offices, Missouri State University and the Springfield Community.

S.T.E.P was created to assist Latinx students applying for and transitioning into college. A collaboration between Multicultural Services, Admissions and Diversity & Inclusion, S.T.E.P. aims to ensure the success of underrepresented student groups in higher education.

YES was created to help empower and support Black and African-American students seeking to attend college. Held annually at Missouri State, this day long conference hosts a series of speakers and presentation to ensure a successful admission to and enrollment in higher education.

Students who participate in the Student Leadership and Diversity Institute (SDLI) will understand systemic racism, develop a more global perspective of culture and diversity, expand efforts to increase inclusivity with student organizations, identify personal privilege and how to use it to interrupt divisive policies, behaviors and practices while leading diversity education efforts within their respective organizations and student groups.
