Recipients of this scholarship will be chosen by the Inclusive Excellence Scholarship Selection Committee. The goal of the committee will be to select a cohort of students each year who have a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences and who seek the opportunity to contribute to the University’s goal of creating a climate of inclusive excellence. Students will be selected based on their academic record, their combination of school, community, and family involvement and activities, and their demonstrated commitment to becoming a leader in an inclusive society.

The Inclusive Excellence Leadership Scholarship Selection Committee will review applicants and select candidates to be invited to an interview program held on the Missouri State campus. The recipients will be selected following the interview process.

Students selected to interview for the Inclusive Excellence Leadership Scholarship will also be considered for the Inclusive Excellence Recognition Award. Prospective education majors will also be considered for the Diversity in Education Scholarship.
