Student Transition Education Program (S.T.E.P.)

The STEP Conference formally known as the Student Transition Education Program, is a single-day conference to help Springfield and surrounding area High School students gain access to higher education. STEP sessions are broken down into grade levels focusing on “Where Am I?”,   “Who Am I?”, “Where Am I Going?”, “How Do I Get There?” which are facilitated by Missouri State University staff and students. The STEP program takes place during the month of September when the university celebrates Latinx Heritage Month. This year’s conference will take place Thursday, September 28th 2017 from 8:20am-2:00pm with lunch provided to all attendants. The conference is free and open to any student. This year’s theme will be Steps 2 EmPowerment. The STEP Conference is planned by Multicultural Services in conjunction with Admissions and Enrollment Management and Springfield Public Schools.
